The Capita The Navigator 2027 is a directional snowboard built for riders who spend their winter moving between storm days, soft snow lines, and inbounds terrain. Positioned for powder / resort use, it combines a setback stance, tapered shaping, and a directional flex pattern to improve float, edge control, and smooth turn initiation across mixed mountain conditions.
The board uses a directional shape with 0.8” setback, giving it a naturally rear-biased stance that helps keep the nose riding higher in deeper snow while maintaining stability on groomed sections back to the lift. Capita pairs this with a Parabolic Radical Taper sidecut, a layout designed to support quicker release through the tail and easier steering in soft or variable terrain. The result is a board that feels purpose-built for directional riding, without becoming overly specialized for one condition only.
Underfoot, the Resort V2 Directional + Flat Kick Tech camber profile balances control and float. A raised camber platform through the inserts is intended to retain edge hold at speed and through changing terrain, while elevated contact points help with powder performance and smoother landings. Flat Kick tip and tail arcs add a faster, more direct transition feel, particularly useful when linking turns on piste or adjusting lines in tighter terrain.
The construction follows Capita’s lightweight and responsive approach. A Hover Core forms the foundation, supported by 2 x 30 mm Technora Flax Boosters for added energy return and impact management. Holysheet Tri/Bi fiberglass with Magic Bean resin keeps the layup responsive without unnecessary weight, while the Skinless Core Ash Woodgrain Topsheet reduces mass and gives the board a clean, tactile finish. On the base side, the HyperDrive base is a sintered construction developed for high-speed glide and durability.
With a directional 5.5 flex, The Navigator sits in a versatile middle ground.
