The Burton Men's Highshot X Step On® is built as a versatile all-mountain snowboard boot for riders who want fast entry, solid support, and dependable control across changing terrain and conditions. Positioned within Burton’s Highshot line as the mid-level X version, it combines a supportive platform with a responsive feel, making it a strong option for advanced riders who value precision without giving up day-long comfort.

The defining element is the Step On® construction, designed for quick, direct boot-to-binding connection. Burton pairs this with a higher injected Step On backstay for added support from both sides, while the one-piece shell construction keeps the overall feel consistent and responsive. For riders moving between groomers, variable snow, and technical sections of the mountain, that combination supports fast transitions and controlled power transfer.

A medium-stiff flex gives the Highshot X a balanced ride character. It feels supportive enough for stronger input and confident edge control, while remaining versatile for all-mountain use. The 1:1 Firm Flex PowerUp Tongue is designed to maintain a close interface between boot and tongue, reducing the need for readjustment during the day. Burton also adds the Snugger strap, allowing heel hold and forward flex to be fine-tuned.

Fit adjustment comes from a Dual Zone Boa® system with separate upper and lower zones, so riders can dial in pressure and support more precisely. Combined with TX3 laces, the system is built to offer a strong feel with a little more give than steel alternatives. Inside, the Imprint 3 liner uses a hook-and-loop closure with inner lace lock for a secure fit, while lightweight power panels add extra response.

Comfort and hold are further supported by the Focus Cuff, which wraps the ankle and sits slightly higher to improve heel hold and responsiveness. The DRYRIDE Heat Cycle™ liner is designed to capture and reflect body heat while helping manage moisture, supporting warmth without compromising internal climate control. Underfoot, the Vibram® EcoStep outsole uses a compound made with at least 30% recycled Vibram rubber.
